How to add volume to my hair?

I have curly/wavey hair and I let it air dry and then straigten it with a flat iron. If I don't flat iron it, it will be frizzy and poofy, and when I dry it with a blow dryer it is too frizzy, but the flat iron makes my hair too flat. What should I do?

Use a straightening gel before you blow dry, it tames a lot of the frizz problem. My favorite is Victoria's Secret So Sexy Straightening Gel. It is amazing! You don't have to work as hard with the flat iron to get stellar results and it smells sooo good! (And if you want to embrace your curls, they also make a Curl Enhancing Gel that is also amazing.)

I'd also reccomend a hair product with Vitamin E Oil in it immediately after shower-- I like Silk Therapy by Biosilk.

Blow drying is essential to volume. Before you blow dry, work a small amount of volumizing mousse into your hair, concentrating on the roots. I reccomend Body Builder Volumizing Mousse by Pantene Pro-V.

Also, a volumizing shampoo can help, but I have found the results are only minimal.

Some of my friends swear by John Frieda FrizzEase, but I thought it made my hair greasy and terrible. I suppose if you try that, only use it minimally.

TRY USING MOUSSE AND GEL TOGETHER AND APPLY ON TO ROOTS AND ENDS,.. GOOD LUCK!!

Try blowdrying your hair proberly, it takes a while to get the hang of it but then you can get your hair bone straight after loadza practice and you might not even need flat irons. Use a round brush and a hairdryer with a thin nozzle. And really little sections at a time put the brush under your hair and the hairdryer on the brush with your hair in between then pull down straight, then start from the top and do it again an keep doind the one section untill its dry and smooth. Then do the rest of your hair. It will take ages at the start but it will be worth it and then youll get faster at it.

And for the volume get a really big round brush and blowdry your hair up instead of down straight. Or blowdry your hair the opposite way.

You could even do that with flat irons, straighten all the hair from the crown of your head towards the front of your face then let it cool, hairspray a little let it dry then flip it back.

Hope u understand this lol.

I have the same problem. I either go with mouse and a diffuser attachment, or let it dry on it's own for a bit. Use a mouse either way. Just make sure that your scalp is dry before leaving the house. Don't forget to put your head down while you're blowing your frocks!

I have curly hair and use a diffuser and set my blow dryer on cool or low and that usually helps it takes a little longer to dry your hair but no frizz also use a good defrizzer John Frieda or Infusium
