I'm in the process of getting the TIPS at the bottom, of my long brown hair, turned white..Ive done the lightening powder with the 40 strength mix, Ive let it sit for a very long time, multiple times. I know this isn't going to make it white..I know it requires toner. (Which I have) Thing is..by the end of the multiple bleach treatments, its supposed to at least be past the faint orange stage, right? It seems lighter each time, but it has the faint orange tint I hate..I did repair treatments so it's not strawlike, and then applied Ultra White Minx toner..Still orangish..How many times does this take! ::tears::
I mean, I'm willing to keep doing this, no problem..just need to see some hope that after enough of this, it will be white. Some tips? .. I was told to use a blow dryer over a plastic cap over the hair to speed along..tried that for a bit, but didn't want to do damage keeping it like that for a long time..
Some help please..
Hair coloring question?
Honestly this should be being done by a professional, but since you started and sound a bit knowledgeable on the harm it can do.....I think when people do their hair at home they panic and take color / bleach off too soon...put a timer on and don't look at it till the timer goes off.....put something on your head to lock some warmth and moisture on the hair.....40 volume and lightening powder is a very strong mixture for a home remedy....use it carefully.....It also depends on if you have color on your hair right now too....this may be a factor why you are still at the orange stage.....I am thinking timing is the reason though.....don't panic.....read the directions and see what the longest timing is and since you are at the orange stage it won't be that long......Don't panic and take it off too soon.....let it do its job
Hair coloring question?
When you have questions concerning beauty, I'd suggest leaving it up to the experts who are current on style and trends. Toni and Guy is one shop with wonderful personnel whom I use for expert recommendations on color. I get compliments all the time.
