PIcture day hair ideas?

You can blow dry your hair straight.

What you'll need to buy is some straightening shampoo %26amp; conditioner [Sunsilk has some great ones!] and some straightening serum. [Again, Sunsilk is probably the best for this.] Apply the serum to your hair when its about half dry after you wash it. If you don't already have a flat brush, you'll need to buy one of those. Run it through your hair as you blow dry.

For detalied instructions, look at this website:

http://www.ehow.com/how_1324_straighten-...

PIcture day hair ideas?

I have kind of wavy hair also and I use Redken 12 (the number is on the bottle). If you read the instructions it says to use it on dry hair but dont put it on your hair while it is still wet. Make sure you ONLY USE A LITTLE, like for real a little this stuff works so good but if you use to much it makes your hair look kinda funny. I hair is below my shoulders and I use a paddle brush that works really good, it helps alot when you are trying to get your hair straight without a straightener.

PIcture day hair ideas?

when peples ask this question i always answer this............... side pontail curl it and straighten yur bangs!!!!!!!!!!! ya if u cant use a straightener then blw dry yur bangs sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PIcture day hair ideas?

I have picture day tomorrow too! I know how u feel. My mom doesnt like me to use a straightner to much. Well, one thing that can make your hair straight and silky is this sertain brand of conditioner. I use it. It is wonderful! It is called Nioxin. My guess there are different types of Nioxin conditioner. This one says on the bottle: Scelp therapy.....for medium/course hair. My hair isnt course, my stylist says it doesnt matter. But since its made for course hair, if u dont have course hair it will make it even floppy-straighter. Then let it AIR DRY, and just brush it with a regular brush. glad i could help!

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined&qu

i want to spike my hair butwhen i attempt to do it tends to curl. it gets sloppy with my fingers and the comb isnt very helpful. my hair is normally flat and i want to get it to go back or fro up instead of be flat so i can get that Spiked Porcupined look.

i heard using a Du-Cap or putting gel before sleeping with a bandana over it helps force it to come up after a week or so?

Blow dryer possibly?

Thanks in advance :)

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

You can try using a flat iron to make it straight and then you can spike it with some sort of gel or something. Good Luck!!!

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

go and rebonding your hair, then put some hair gel.

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

I would truly just go and ask a stylist. They can show you how and offer suggestions. Good luck.

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

Use a flat iron. It's literally like ironing your hair straight. That, combined with products, will help kill your curls.

Also, if you're down to spend a little money, you can chemically straighten your hair at a beauty salon. It's like the opposite of a perm. Find out where your nearest beauty school is, and go to one of their salons. It's ran by students, so it's REALLY cheap, but they usually do a great job. And usually it's just a room full of cute, young girls, which isn't a bad place to spend some time! :)

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

buy Sabestian hair product at wal-mart's inside the store is Smart style salon, it isn't too pricey and last a long time...they could straighten it there too for you.....you'll love it!!!

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

If you have really curly hair, there's nothing you can do. I think they have special shampoo to straighten your hair... It's more trouble than it's worth. If it's only mildly curly, then try to just keep it cut really short and it might spike ok

I assume your hair is too short to use any kind of electronics on it. If you're trying to spike it out (punk-style), then try hair wax. It's kinda expensive, it's like 20 bucks for a small tub of it, but you will definitely be able to spike your hair with it no matter how curly it is... hair wax is crazy strong

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

better to do is get a help from stylist or from a salon.they will help you and give you some tips.wash you hair first with shampoo and blowdry it.make sure its dry and nice.use gel that is very strong and can hold hair.some gel only shines but is not strong enough.if it doesnt work, get rebond then tell the stylist to make your hair spikes.

It depend on what you like but maybe you need to keep it straight

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Okay so my hair is a little damaged from dying it and using heat hair tools- blow dryer and flat iron. I haven't dyed it for a couple months because I'm trying to give it a break. I use a flat iron and/or dryer 3-4 times a week. I feel like I have tried every product and home treatment possible to improve the texture of my hair and nothing has worked for me- even the expensive stuff I've only seen a SLIGHT improvement. The problem with my hair is that there is moderate breakage so it is dry and brittle, it is slightly frizzy, and also slightly wavy. Do you have any recommendations for treatments or products I can use to bring shine back to my hair? To make it soft, supple, and smooth?

Also, I don't like to always style it straight, but everytime I try to scrunch it with mousse, volume gel, and a diffuser it just looks like a bad perm from the 80s...its all fluffy and frizzy, when what I'm going for is pretty, subtle waves! Any good products, tools, or strategies for this?

Try some John Freida Frizz Ease. Put it on your hair while it is still wet. The you can let it dry naturally (curls) or blow dry it. It well help the shine and cut down the frizz.

Any haircut suggestions/styling tips for long, wavy hair?

I have long brown hair, about an inch below the shoulder blades. It's wavy, more towards the bottom than the top. (Which is probably due to the fact that I tend to have an oily scalp and dry ends.) And it tends to get tangled very easily.

I try to wash my hair every other day because I hear that helps. And it gets greasy quickly. The problem I find myself in is that I live in a very warm climate where A.C. is in short supply, and humidity is constant.

I tend to let my hair air-dry because I don't like to use a blow dryer and I don't like to take the time of using a straight iron. But because of the unbalanced oily top and dry ends, it tends to frizz into an almost triangle shape if I don't do anything to it.

Is there anything I can do in styling to make it easier to deal with? I want more height at the top and less "poof" at the bottom.

And is there a certain haircut I should get? Would more extreme layers help? (I want to keep it long.) Sites and pictures would be nice!

Thanks :)

Any haircut suggestions/styling tips for long, wavy hair?

hi,i live in the deep south and it is extremely hot here to ,i have shoulder lenght wavy hair also what i did was i bought a wet 2 dry straigntener and walgreens and when you get out the bath it straightens and drys your hair at the same time and only takes like 10 minutes, mine was only $25

Any haircut suggestions/styling tips for long, wavy hair?

scrunch your hair with water mouse gel and hairspray , its easy =]

Any haircut suggestions/styling tips for long, wavy hair?

Use some gel or mousse, scrunch a little and let air dry. Keep your hair long with long layers. If your layers get too short you may get that poodle look which you certainly don't want. I'm forever fighting the frizz too!

Curling Hair?? EASY Question, Best Answer WILL Be Chosen.!=]?

What's the most easy and quickist way to get a loose curl? I have a....

2'' Curling Iron

Heat Protector

Blow Dryer

Big Round Brush

Curling Mousse

Spray stuff to give me the Extra Volume (ya' know what I mean)

Hair Spray

Thanks!

****I'll pick Best Answer!!=]****

Curling Hair?? EASY Question, Best Answer WILL Be Chosen.!=]?

use all of them!

first wash your hair blowdry

curl your hair then kinda scrunch it with the moose

then add a little hair spray

make sure you do your hair with sections so you dont miss any hair

and dont spray your hair while curling do it after just incase you dont like it

:)

Curling Hair?? EASY Question, Best Answer WILL Be Chosen.!=]?

quickest way is the curling iron. Best way is the blow dryer and the round brush.

Curling Hair?? EASY Question, Best Answer WILL Be Chosen.!=]?

Curling iron may take sometime but it'll be easy.

Curling Hair?? EASY Question, Best Answer WILL Be Chosen.!=]?

1.When hair is wet:

-Use mouse all over

-volumizer stuff on roots

2.Blow Dry upside down, crazily. Use brush when hair is 95% dry.

3. Curl in sections- with curl facing backwards (behind you)

a-top crown section(from temples to back top of head) should have about 4 or 5 rectangular subsections from side to side. Start in the front, pull hair straight up, and curl backwards.

b-middle section's (under top section, from ear to ear) subsections will be vertical rectangles. pull straght out. should have about 5. pull sections nest to ears in front of your face so you get the curl close to the root.

c-nape section- two curls, vertical subsections.

Also, for the wavy look instead of shirley temple, put the iron in the middle of the strand, curl backwards. Then slide the iron along the hair strand out toward the ends. The purpose is not to keep the iron on the ends too long, as they will get too curly.

Takes practice, but once you get it down, hot and sexy in minutes. ps- dont use conditioner on your roots, and you might be able to get away with washing your hair everyday. Day 2 much faster.

Frizzy hair!!?

what product at home could i use to get rid of frizzy hair???? like a house hold product,, something everyone has...not a special gel or something..can u help

does a dryer sheet realy work??

Frizzy hair!!?

Hi, I actually read this really good article about the de-frizzing bible, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure: http://www.carefair.com/Hair-and-Nails/H...

Frizzy hair!!?

i would say Mayo!! i did this to a frenz hair once...we put it on her hair, leave it in for 30 min...she went to take a bath...washed it off...and it actually work...and it was shinier too!!

Frizzy hair!!?

The only thing I know that works is Sunsilk anti-frizz. It's a green bottle, Shampoo ,conditioner and 24-7 cream

Frizzy hair!!?

Try a tiny a mount of baby oil, rub in palms and smooth on hair. If you do not have any of that, try the same thing with body lotion. Other than that, I would go with Frizz Eaze

Setting Hair in Curlers?

I want to get my hair set in a salon. Would they let me wear the curlers home and come back the next day, or would it be better to sit under a dryer there? I thought I recall someone telling me that if you shower before removing the curlers, the steam will help the set stay longer.

Setting Hair in Curlers?

It all depends on the salon some will let you and some won't. But to be on the safe side if you really want to do home with the curlers bring your own to the salon with you. I'm sure they won't mind.

Setting Hair in Curlers?

Just go there and they'll have you sit under a drier...I don't think they'll let you take them home! :-)

Setting Hair in Curlers?

No salon will let you walk out of their shop with curlers in your hair. If you want to get your hair styled in a salon then do it ALL there and enjoy the whole experience. Steam will cause the curlers to fall out and do you propose sleeping in the curlers? I can tell you from previous years experience that is a really bad hair day idea...

What helps the set stay longer is getting it done by a professional and then enjoying it until you have to sleep on it and it goes away. If you want a permanent solution to perfect hair every day...buy a wig.

I have loose, curly hair and i need a quick style!?

I go to volleyball practice every morning and throw my hair up in a bun. When I am done with practice we go back to the locker room and get ready for school. My hair is dry because i washed it the night before but it has been in a bun and by the end of practice is frizzy, poofy, thick and i need a style that WILL work in five minutes. I cant stand there with a blow dryer for 20 minutes!!!!

I have loose, curly hair and i need a quick style!?

What I think you should do because i've seen this happen alot, is to get some sort of mouse foam and bring it with you in the morning, then after practice put it in your hair and scrunch it upward and there you have a nice fancy style.

it only takes about 2 minutes.

I have loose, curly hair and i need a quick style!?

Easy! You totally souldnt put your hair in the bun, put it in a pony tail and it'll be silkier, then when your done put it down or style it any way you want!

I have loose, curly hair and i need a quick style!?

why don't you try putting it in a ponie tail but before or after try wetting it and then brushing it

I have loose, curly hair and i need a quick style!?

put half up have down.... and then if ur hair ets frizzy then put hair spray on the up part so the friz stays down

I have loose, curly hair and i need a quick style!?

Hair Like This...?

http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0433412/0...

Hilary Duff's hair.. see how the part only goes so far back, and the rest is poofed up in the back? Round brush and blow dryer..?

Hair Like This...?

One of the best ways to get this hair is to use LARGE round curlers roll sections from tip to root (1 1/2 - 2inch sections) and blowdry till hair is dry and HOT! Take them our slowly and unroll don't pull - then Tease around the crown of your head (the top) part how ever you want it and smooth - you will have great volume and a cute style just like hillary duff ( and really sexy curls at the bottom!)

Good Luck!!

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten

I have blondish light brown hair with highlights. but the highlights are starting to look bad because they are growing out. can i use lemon juice to lighten my hair. how long does it take for the lemon juice to lighten my hair? Anyway to see faster results with the lemon juice? such as chromile tea. could i lighten it using lemon juice with a blow dryer?? please give me a good answer!! no go get it done pro or go and buy a kit and highlight it!! PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE!!

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten??

I lighten my hair all the time with lemon juice and it works. Sometimes you might have to do it more than once to get your desired results.

There's two effective ways to do it: put the lemon juice where you want your hair to lighten, and go out in the sun. I do this before I lay out to tan and when I come back in, my hair is lighter and it is noticable. I have dirty blonde hair, too. It gives a golden blonde highlight effect. If you don't want want to go outside, then blow dry your hair after placing the lemon juice in. I hear placing aluminum foil on the peices you put the juice in help quicken the results as well. But it does work, and saves money.

If you plan to do this though, don't change your mind in a few months and try to darken your hair. It won't work. I tried to go brunette after trying the lemon trick, I came out blonder! It does something to the particle of your hair that it won't hold onto the color.

Good luck!

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten??

Didn't work for me. Try peroxide.

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten??

Yes you can use lemon Juice. Just go out in the sun for about a half hour til it is dried. Try the blow dryer, it may work. my aunt lightened her hair this way for YEARS. its fine.

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten??

I don't think it works but you could try sun in it worked for me all you have to do is pick it up at almost any store spray it in and go out side on a sunny day thats all you do.

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten??

You can use lemon juice, chamomile tea, or olive oil, but I suggest you use lemon juice since your hair is already light. This website has different ways to do it: http://www.kidzworld.com/article/5859-ge...

Have fun and use sunblock cause you don't want to get a sunburn!

閳绢檵mily

Does lemon juice work really well for lightening hair? how long does it take 4 it my hair to lighten??

I've never put lemon juice in my hair before, and I will never do it because I hear that it can really mess up your hair colour.

Anyways, it will make your hair lighter, but the highlights will still look the same. In fact, your hair will look the exact same, except the brightness of your hair.

Thick hair?

i ahve knida thick hair and it frizzes sometmes

sometimes it says for an hour then poofs up!

how can i make yit stop without ussing products (the only things i have are hiarsray, a brush, a ponytail holder, a blow dryer and thats it!)

Thick hair?

OMG metoo!!!!!!!! i have thick hair and LOT AND LOS of hair what i do its to blow dry it or put i on a ponytail becaus ei look good or try different hairstyles but resently i have been using a special machine that straightens my hair i mean like its all soft and staright and zero friz!or u can do the japanse straighter it stright ur hair for a year ;) hope i helped

Thick hair?

just blow dry it straight

Thick hair?

wrap your hair at night.

Thick hair?

dont blow dry it.

it will frizz FOR SUrE!!!!

ok. so brush it until you like it. (tie it up if you like)

then soak it in hair spray. works for me

Thick hair?

dont use hairspray unless you have to because it is un-healthy.

Thick hair?

You need to get a straightener!!! thats really the only thing that will really work...Try getting Frizz-ez by John frida it helps with the frizzyness

good luck

Thick hair?

wash it than blow it dry for at least 10mins

Thick hair?

ok please just ask one of ur friends cause dudes don't know

Thick hair?

Get your hair thinned out at like coles salaon, great clips, anywere!

Thick hair?

Well i have really thick hair and when i go 2 a hair salon then i ask them 2 trim it and then i ask them 2 thin it out. I use tresseme shampoo and conditioner, and then when i get out of the shower i brush it and put it in a bun or ponytail and leave my hair like that till it dries and then take it out and its usually not frizzy. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!

Thick hair?

it's kinda hard if you don't have any products...so I suggest that you go and buy some. You can try wetting your hair a bit, and then flattening it by combing through your hair.. then secure it with a ponytail.

Thick hair?

I would first get a haircut....get lots and lots of layers and ask your hairdresser to thin it out with a razor. then when you style it (i woudl really recommend buying some products to put in it makes it so much easier....biosilk silk therapy is amazing) if you have no products, use your brush while you blowdry it....and maybe invest in a straightening iron too. then spray some hairspray onto your brush and brush your hair with it when your all done. hopefully that should keep your hair in place! :-)

Thick hair?

Umm . . . you can probably make it work if you bought an Anti-frizz serum . . . and then blow dry it straight.

Thick hair?

well, a good way would be a special shampoo, like l'oreal, i think they made something to help frizzy hair. also, you definitely want it to be healthy, so keep it moisturized. a sign of dehydrated hair is frizziness. so drink lots of water and don't go swimming - chlorine is bad for your kind of hair!

Thick hair?

It probably frizzes up by absorbing moisture from the atmosphere; the best way to stop it is with products I'm afraid. A simple leave in conditioner means your hair absorbs that instead of moisture but if you just need a quick fix hair serums like Frizz-Ease are great. Apart from that, try to touch it as little as possible - the grease and oil on your hands will also make it frizz.

Thick hair?

dnt use a blow dryer it makes it puffier.

U should take a shower and then put like some gel in it and comb the tangles out.(if you wanna wear it down)

U should take a shower them comb out tangles gel a lil and put it in a pony tail.

Thick hair?

1st of all you need 2 learn how 2 spell

ahve - have

says - stays

yit - it

very simple tasks

Thick hair?

maybe invest in buying a flat iron probably a 200 degree one only because it works faster and tougher. I also have thick frizz hair and blowdrying it always makes it worse for me so dont block dry it unless yu need to. Also after flat ironing it hairspray may make your hair better longer. If you cant afford a flat iron you could always just ask someone to use a clothes iron but the only thing is its not made for hair so afterword your hair might just dry up a bit but if you use a really good moistureizing shampoo and conditioner shoudl work like a charm =]

Thick hair?

make sure you blow dry it right after you get out of the shower or after it gets wet. try to spray the roots of your hair around your face to keep the stray hairs down(dont put to much though). if you have bangs u can also lightly spray them or use a hair mist(lighter than hairspray for holding in place hair naturally) if you have any questions you can write me back

Thick hair?

Just brush your hair without using hairspray till its straight, then tie it in a ponytail to the side of your head.

Not using a blowdryer is the best option but in this case try this!

Hope this helped!

How can i keep static out of my hair?

all winter my hair stays full of static and it drives me nuts! some people reccomend rubbing a dryer sheet on your head to get it out, just like it does for clothes.

but, is there any other tricks i can use? or even better a actual hair product?

How can i keep static out of my hair?

try hair gel

How can i keep static out of my hair?

um...

i dont get static often

but when i do, i put it in a ponytail w/ out the rubber band, and only my hands to hold it, and slide one of my hand out so its like im taking out a rubber band

How can i keep static out of my hair?

you could dab a little bit of lotion on you hands n rub it in but dont put to much on the roots because your hair will look greesy

How can i keep static out of my hair?

well..just put some water on it..it works for me!

LOL...kay...so maybe use those anti cling um...dryer sheets..but the best for me is to use some water..does the trick everytime!

How can i keep static out of my hair?

I use a straightener, but NOT ceramic. they are a rip-off and dont work at all. Hair gel works well too.

Can hair really be cut to make it curl?

I have straight hair with a little tiny bit of a wave. My friend says that if I go to the right stylist and get it cut right it will curl on its own and it will be wash and go. I don't believe I could get it to curl without a round brush and blow dryer which is too much work, it takes a long time for me. Is she right???

Can hair really be cut to make it curl?

it is possible to get it cut to curl in a certain direction. It might not the the huge ringlets or anything, but it is definately possisble. I have naturally wavy hair, but I have gone to hair stylist who have cut my hair to curl in a certain direction before.

Can hair really be cut to make it curl?

yes

Can hair really be cut to make it curl?

Yeah. I have wavy hair and I got long layers throughout my entire head and it got pretty curlly! My hair is really thick too so if your hair isn't very thick it will curl alot. Basically just get layers and your hair will curl . =]

Can hair really be cut to make it curl?

UUUHHH I am thinking maybe if you keep it short it will stay with the curl pattern instead of growing it out straight.

Can hair really be cut to make it curl?

If you have enough curl or wave to your hair a shorter cut or taking some of the weight off with layers can allow your natural wave or curls to be more bouncy. The weight of longer hair can pull the curl or wave down. A haircut is not however going to suddenly give you springy spiral curls if it is not natural for your hair in the first place. There are many products available to help you define your hairs natural wave or curl...diffusers also work very well.

Why is my hair....?

why is my hair always staticky [[idk how to spell it]]

my friend told me to rub it with a dryer sheet but it didnt work!!

its driving me crazyyyyy

Why is my hair....?

ohhh awwyit...dats a very natural problem in winters...n believe me happens wid evrybody...u cant do much abt it but jus b careful not to bring ur hair in contact the sweaters u wear....use a conditioner....ur hair become charged even due to dryness.\

avoid use of hairdryers

and most importantly get hold of a wooden comb frm smwhere it will greatly reduce ur problem///dont use plastic combs or hairbrushes...

Why is my hair....?

put a little frizz ease serum into it and it should lay down some

Why is my hair....?

do you straighten your hair

Why is my hair....?

use hair spray.

Why is my hair....?

mayb cus dey r too dry ...google fer some remedies fer dry hair ...i heard abt eggs mayoniese but cmmon ...v hav products dat do dat fer us rite ...

if u wear a woolen hat etc..

hmm yea dry hair.....

Why is my hair....?

you should take garnier antifrizz serum and work it evenly through yhur hairr it really works for me

Why is my hair....?

tiny bit of dax wax (blue)

Why is my hair....?

the air around you is dry and is causing the static, you need a smoothing serum to weigh it down a little.Try Paul Mitchell super skinny serum. It is light weight so unless you use too much it won't weigh it down or make it look greasy

Why is my hair....?

static is caused by dry cold air (aka winter air)

there are some shampoos and hair products that can controll static. well anyways first of all you can use clarifying shampoo and then you can put conditioner. (conditioner really helps)

i also read fabric dryer sheets can help.

here are some at home remidies you can do.

there is also antifrizz things. u should try sunsilk anti friz and there is also ganier anti friz. just look for things that say anti friz it really helps

Why is my hair....?

Spray hairspray on your brush then run it through your hair, it should do the trick!

Why is my hair....?

Try out all the opinion that has email to u, Well,I agree with your friend (Totally Girlie)if that opinion no work , as last resource U have to seek a dermatologist help.

Scrunching fine/slightly wavy hair?

By fine I mean: lots of hair, just really thin strands. My hair is naturally slighly wazy, but whats a way to enhance the waves? I don't have a diffuser for my blow dryer, so is there any other way?

And if it helps, its about 3-4 inches past my shoulders.

Scrunching fine/slightly wavy hair?

Use Aussie Sprunch spray on damp hair. Softly squeeze the strands together while also scrunching them upwards towards the scalp. Turn head upside down and blow dry. No diffuser needed, just use low power and heat setting and hold dryer as far away from hair as possible.

Help i have big hair not good!?

Help i have big hair not good!?

hmmmm maybe you should go to a beauty salon, and tell them whats the problem. maybe they can help you. or they can make permanent strait to your hair. it will be really strait, and you wouldnt have that hair anymore. p.s. my sister also has that type of hair. but it probaly looks better on you than her.

Help i have big hair not good!?

You can try gelling it, or putting leave-on conditioner to help it stay down, or you can get a hair cut, and THEN straighten it?

Help i have big hair not good!?

Use a defining elixer sold by Aquage or several other brands. It is like a gel that dosn't get crunchy hard. Sectin your hair in large sections an from the top twist down and let it air dry. Then slightly break apart the locks. The result is a tousley curl. Soo Easy!

Help i have big hair not good!?

Try the anti-poof shampoo and conditioner. Use it the night before and sleep on you hair. Then it is not so big. I have giant hair too and this works for me.

Curling relaxed hair?

after my wash and set my stylist blows out my roots with ionic blow dryer....leaves ends curled, then she finger curls the ends and secures with pins. when whole head is done i sleep with the pins in. i take out next day and let hair fall out in it's own style. i love the way this looks but want to know how i can keep the curls from going completely straight...any prods that aren't sticky or gelly that will keep a nice soft, touchable curl ? something that will hold the curls but not break hair or make it stiff. thanks all.

Curling relaxed hair?

I like Nexxus VersaStyler by Nexxus. You only need a small amount, so it lasts forever. Smells nice. No alcohol. I've not had a problem with flaking.

It doesn't feel like there's absolutely NOTHING in my hair (still looking for my holy grail hair products), but it does provide a flexible hold and doesn't make my hair feel as though I've sprayed it with liquid concrete.

Not perfect, but the best I've found so far.

Curling relaxed hair?

If you're willing to sleep on pins... then you might want to try this slightly more comfortable option. Buy those soft, kiddie elastics (you know - the fluffy ones, more comfy) and every night before going to bed, make yourself a headful of little "boinks" - that is, take a strand of hair, twist it, roll it in a tight ball, and elasticize it in place with an elastic. Cover your entire head with those - about 8 or 9 do it well for me. Then... just go to sleep, and let the magic happen! When you wake up, let loose your hair, and it sill be nice and curly, but not frizzy. don't brush it - not necessary, unless you want an afro! Dry hair works fine, or you can slightly moisten it with a plant spray bottle - don't do it with wet hair, because it doesn't really dry. Good luck! This is my own secret recipe for great hair. I did it when my hair was down to my knees, and I still kept doing it when it just touched my shoulders.

How should I do my hair for school tomorrow?

I can't think of anything fun and pretty to do with it. I have wavy blonde hair, the longest layer is just past my shoulders, the shortest is at my ear. I have bangs (side bangs). Yes, I do have a

-straightener

-curling iron

-blow-dryer

-gel

-mousse

-straightening milk

-shine serum

-no-frizz spray

-smoothing creme

-anti-frizz creme

-hairspray

I'd rather not use hairspray, because I'm doing my hair tonight. Be specific in you answer, and don't tell me "Just put it in a messy bun/ponytail/whatever." I want to do my hair down and pretty (or half-up half-down) but I'm all out of ideas!!! Help!

How should I do my hair for school tomorrow?

straighten hair, part on side, take 1-inch sections starting after bangs and twirl, keep adding on and adding on until you get to the middle of the back of your head, secure with small clip, leave the back part of your hair down. take the other side and do the same as you did to the other side, and twist the two pieces together and clip

How should I do my hair for school tomorrow?

do it britney style :)

How should I do my hair for school tomorrow?

Just take a razor and shave it clean. You'll look like a celebrity!

How should I do my hair for school tomorrow?

straighten it . . then flip out the ends

How should I do my hair for school tomorrow?

Why dont you wear it down and straightened with a quiff?

You said be specific, so

1. Back comb your hair from the root so it stands on end, or gently tease the roots of your hair

2. Apply hairspray

3. Get the section of hair you wanted for a quiff and put it into shape

4. Use bobby pins or clips to secure the shape

5. Use hairspray

6. Smooth with a comb

I dont know if I explained it well enough but yeah.

Or why dont you braid one of your side bangs and pin it to the side?

A lot of people are doing that at the moment and it looks really good.

Hope this helps...

How do you blow dry your hair straight?

How do you blow dry your hair straight?

2 straighten my hair i use a blow dryer wit a comb or use a straightnin comb or a flatning iron b cuz my friend uses dat her hair is so curly and soft but she cant get it straight unless she uses a flat iron

How do you blow dry your hair straight?

What you'll need:

Bumble and Bumble Straight ($11)

or

Tresemme' Thermal Creations Straightening Gel. It's vitamin enriched so it smooths and shines unruly curly or wavy hair. Also, it's formulated to protect from heat damage. (Should be around $6 or so, and personally, I like it)

Leave-in Conditioner. I like Pantene Pro-V's.

Ceramic Round Brush.

A fine-tooth comb.

And Dry Wax. I like Magic Move Soft, but it can run rather pricy. Basically, and sculpting wax you find in a little jar in the hair section of Walgreen's will do the job.

What to do:

Step 1: Apply a Leave-In conditioner.

(use about a quarter-sized amount) to the ends of your hair while damp to protect the ends from heat damage and also to moisturize them. Then add a dime-sized amount of straightening gel to ends to smooth them.

Step 2: Pin up three-quarters of your hair, then divide the bottom into 1"-wide pieces. Starting at the nape of your neck, blow-dry hair on high. Style with an ionic-and-ceramic round brush to boost shine and keep hair from drying out.

Step 3: Dry each section starting at the roots and slowly working your way down the ends. Run the fine-tooth comb through each 1"-wide piece after you dry it, and smooth your hair straight down behind your head so it cools flat. Repeat this all over.

Step 4: Smooth flyaways at your part with a dry, matte wax. Rub a dime-sized amount between your hands, then run your pants down your hair. With the product on your hands, pinch your ends all over for seperation.

Hope this works out for you, girl! I've tried it on a friend with a very similar hair texture and it worked wonders.

How do you blow dry your hair straight?

A paddle brush is good for straightening but is also hard to handle. A big round brush is better because you can really get some tension. If you use a large one, it will straighten your hair with body. Look for a medium to large size (3" barrel at most) with a vented barrell, and natural bristles if you can find.

As for product, try a straightening gel (Herbal essences, loreal, pantene). Some balms and sprays might not be strong enough for your hair. Put gel in hair while hair is still pretty wet, to prevent goopiness.

Try blowdrying hair in as many layers as possible. You may want to do bangs first because they dry fast. Clip up top layers and start at bottom. Pull with round brush and keep drying until section is COMPLETELY dry. Otherwise hair will just curl up again. Finish off each section with a blast of cool air from your blow dryer.

Of course, most of us now use flat irons, it is much easier and faster and longer lasting than blowing out by hand. I would suggest you save up about $70 and go and buy a 100% ceramic straigntener at a beauty supply store. It is so worth it. All you would have to do is blow dry hair, then straighten. Straight hair in under 20 minutes.

Good luck!

Why won't this part of my hair grow!!!!!!!!!! Help?

I am an african american female that has shoulder length hair. I am very discouraged because i have about a three inch patch of hair in the back of my head that will not grow over two inches. I have had this problem for the last 5 years. While the rest of my hair is soft and shiny, this area is always dull and very course. For this reason I am forced to wear my hair up to cover the spot. I have spoken with a couple of stylist that says I need to come in on a regular basis and have conditioner treatment while I sit under the dryer. I was wondering if there is anyone with any advice on something that i can do at home????????????? Please help!!!!!

Bigger hair?

whenever i straighten my hair, it's usually a little flat, so i use garnier fructis volume boost at my roots and use my blow-dryer for volume, but i want it to be bigger.

Bigger hair?

Use HUGE velcro rollers on your hair (maybe just on the crown, or on your whole head) spritz some hairspray, wait 20 minutes (or for as long as you can), remove and finger style.

Also, flip your head upside down and spritz the roots with hair spray, blow dry on a slower setting (otherwise you'll look like you went through a wind tunnel), flip head up, shake it and finger style.

Bigger hair?

tess it du stopid derder lol lol lol xoxoxoxoxo

Bigger hair?

Use Big Sexy hair spray with volume. Put on your roots and rat the hell out of it.

Bigger hair?

try to put bigger curlers in your hair . after they dried good ,tease them a bit and hairspray and then you should have some nice bigger hair . But don't poof it out too m uch , then it won't look too good

Bigger hair?

Try getting some volumizer at the salon!!!!

They usually work really well!!!

Bigger hair?

I want my hair thinner!!! LOL

Bigger hair?

I wish I had your problem. I always try to get my hair less poufy b/c it's naturally curly. Even though you and I have different textured hair, Garnier DOES NOT do a darn thing for my hair. Surprisingly, Suave products (the ones that are supposed to be knock-offs of the professional shampoos like Redkin %26amp; Matrix) have been working. Or is it that it's winter and there's less humidity? My Mom has thin, straight hair, and she's always been able to get it fuller with Loreal Studio Line products. Be sure to use the right TYPE of shampoo, too. Don't use for dry hair, if you have normal hair, etc. ALWAYS condition, though. Even if you have oily hair. I'd say your best bet is to go to a salon and get a trim and style with layers. Layers add demension and lift, and while you're getting your hair done, you can consult the stylist on more tips and products. Good luck!

Bigger hair?

use a bigger curling iron and hair spray while curled then tease just a little. will give it volume and make you look like you have thicker hair. i have same problem very very thin hair and i hate it but that what i do. also fluff a little while hair spraying. also buy rave 3 hair spray for longer and better hold. should last you all day,

Bigger hair?

big hair is NOT in. dont try it

Bigger hair?

Sebastian makes a shampoo product. I have curly hair and I would use it when I was going out. It worked so well! SSince I got married I have not sued it hence why I ca not think of the name..I know it is by ebastian and the name explains what it does. Call a salon and ask them for the sebastian big hair shampoo....I think I will buy it for next time I go out!

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

How can i fix a bad hair day?

my hair is horrible and i hate it when its hard but how can i fix it during school cus i wet my hair every morning cus i dont know how to get the bed head hair-do out so i just wet it. So if i wet it in school i heard it'll mold an get even dryer than it already is!

How can i fix a bad hair day?

SHAVE IT!! Haha. That'll fix it for a long time

How can i fix a bad hair day?

mold? i dont think that can happen, unless ur hair is wet all the time!

If you are trying to get the bed head look, take a shower in the morning or wet ur hair all the way. Get some mousse and scruch it all over. And just let it air dr, and it it will look like it is still wet, if that is the look ur going for, if u want waves, u should get a scrucher curling iron if u know what i mean.

How can i fix a bad hair day?

just stick in a messy bun!!

How can i fix a bad hair day?

Absolutely, wetting your hair too often will inevitably cause dryness and split ends. My suggestion is that you get a higher-end shampoo, conditioner and leave-in cream. A couple products: Redken Fresh Curls shampoo and conditioner, and CHI Silk Infusion lotion. Apply the lotion on damp hair and let it dry naturally. If you need touch-ups during the day, apply more lotion.

How can i fix a bad hair day?

-Dont tie your hair when its wet, it will smell

Put your hair into a messy bun, it works for me!

You can blow it slick-straight. That always looks good. Keep it shiny and smooth. You can put it half-up, if your bangs are long enough. You can also take a center piece of the hair (about the width of your pinky finger) on your crown (directly above the space in between your eyebrows) and pin it back with a barrette. I think that looks really cute.

Hair problem! help please?

okay i have really staticy hair! When ever i brush it it just goes everywhere and then sticks to my head. The more i touch it or try to stlye it it just gets worse and even more staticey! i can't stand it. My only chioce is to where it in a ponytail but i can't do that forever...any solutions?

P.S i heard taking a dryer sheet works....is that true?

Hair problem! help please?

don't use a dryer sheet. get a ceramic brush. the ceramics keeps your hair down and makes static enate. gel will keep the flyaways down as well. gel is the best solution

Hair problem! help please?

dryer sheets help, so does hairspray. hope this helped. good luck %26lt;3

Hair problem! help please?

they say a gain fabric sheet works. if you get one and gently rub it on your hair it'll work. sounds dumb i know, but i believe it works. when i forget to put a dryer sheet in the dryer, i just rub the gain sheet on my staticy shirt and the static goes away. try it on your hair.

Hair problem! help please?

Yes dryer sheets work or how about spraying your brush with hair spray every time it goes through your hair.

Hair problem! help please?

I have that to!! UUUHHHH!!!! It is so annoying!!! Any way, I try to straighten it out, and if that doesn't work, try Dove's moisture spray. You may just have dry hair! ( sorry if I offended you.)

Hair problem! help please?

try static guard. spray it on your brush when you brush your hair. also, use conditioner when you wash your hair and the static should mellow out.

Question for curly hair?

my hair is really curly but its flat!

do you know any way i can make it big with big curls

i put moose after shower then i blow dryer it but it doesnt get puffy and normally it does

can u help me? i want my old hair back

Question for curly hair?

Wash your hair every other day. Sometimes dirt, dust or dandruff can make your hair limp. Use a volumizing mousse and tease your hair from the roots.

Question for curly hair?

what i do is i put moose in after i shower and i sort of shake it out. i NEVER blow dry it, it just makes it more frizzy. i let it dry naturally and it works perfect for me

Question for curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair as well and when i want it to be "big" after i wash my hair I apply curling mouse to it and blow dry it! then i use a small rod curling iron to make it curlier(if i need it)!! after that I flip my hair forward and brush it forward and apply more mouse!!!! it may sound like a lot but it always works for me!!!!

Question for curly hair?

When you have dryed your hair with a towel scrunch it with your hands, also use mouse and when you are blow drying your hair turn your head upside down.

Hope It Works

Why is a higher altitude messing with my hair?

Just moved to a city in a much higher altitude than I am used to. Curling my hair no longer works - it just slips right out. I don't know if this is becuase of the product, blow dryer, or hot rollers? Or maybe my water? Has anyone else had a problem with hair being different at a higher elevation, any suggestions for what I can do? I have thin, long hair and I like to curl it. This works usually, even in humid areas it has worked better than it does here and all I can think is the higher elevation. Help!

Why is a higher altitude messing with my hair?

Maybe the humidity there is higher? Check weather.com to find out the percentage of humidity in your area by typing in yoru current zip code, and then do the same thing but for your former zipcode and see if there is a difference. By the way, try plugging in your blow dryer or rolling iron into another outlet - sometimes one outlet could not be working that well. I found this out one day when it would take me forever to charge my cell phone, but then I tried another outlet and it charged much faster. In the meantime, try another hair product - I don't know which one you're using but if it's gel - sometimes the moisture in it does not allow curls to hold well, so try hairspray instead or mousse. I hope you find a solution

Hair problem?

wrap set your hair it works everytime

let it stay like that for a day and air dry it will be nice try to use a good wrap lotion like IsoPlus or one from Softsheen- Carson

I have the same type of hair

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pinkinfo/

Hair problem?

comb and brush

Hair problem?

Let it air dry/towel dry as much as you can and rub some anti-frizz serum through it while it's still a little damp. COMB through, don't brush through, it'll make it poof. Once it's completely dry, comb it slightly, run a dryer sheet over it to get rid of extra frizz and a dime size drop of anti-frizz stuff. This hasn't failed me or my friends for years.

How do I get my hair to look like this??

Hey, i really want to do my hair like this. I have the same type of hair but like what would i ask for at the hair salon to make it look like that. And do I need to use a straightener or blow dryer or mousse on it.

THX a lot in advance!! =)))

How do I get my hair to look like this??

honestly, do you really think your grandchildren are going to respect you for looking like a girl when you were younger?

to answer your question about bad fashion, ask your hairdresser. he/she should know exactly how to cut that style and then be able to tell you how to style it yourself after the cut.

How do I get my hair to look like this??

just ask them for the "Sanjaya" - they'll know what to do

How do I get my hair to look like this??

why dont u go ask ur hairdresser - they would be able to tell u how to manage it n stuff.

How do I get my hair to look like this??

you should take that picture to the hairdressers and they can cut it like that. but by the looks of the pic you would need to wash, blow dry and apply some hair products to sort of mess it up like that.

How do I stop statickey hair?

How do I stop statickey hair?

rub lotion into your hands then rub it into your hair. not too much or itll look oily.. just whats leftover on your hands after you rub it in.

How do I stop statickey hair?

Static hair usually happens when the weather or your hair is dry. So next time, use lots of conditionner or use hairspray.

Tie your hair up, wear a headband or anything that will get it out of your face.

If you hands are moisturized, you can rub a little lotion and smooth it over your hair

How do I stop statickey hair?

put a light coat of hairspray, not the spritz but the one in the can. if that dosn't work get a heavy hair serum and put a tiny bit on to your dry hair, but not too much because it will look oily.

The best thing I have found is spraying Static Guard on my hair. I would spray it directly onto your hairbrush or comb, then brush you hair with it. Works great!!

Good Luck!!

Omg help my hair is falling out!?

kay like, i have natural non-permed african hair which i wash and condition twice a week. then i dry it with a towel till it's damp, then put heat protectant all over it, then blow dry it on high, my blow dryer has a comb attachment so it gets kinda straight. THEN i straighten it piece by piece starting from the back using my solia flat iron, at the highest temp (450 degrees) to get it extra straight. i know i know, the problem is probably all the heat. but i don't feel like i can get it straight enough if i don't use all that heat! and i've been brushing it and like 15 hairs will have come out by the time im finished brushing my whole head! what should i doooo.

Omg help my hair is falling out!?

People tend to lose about 50-100 hairs a day... if your ends aren't split and dried out you are probally ok... but you should lay off the heat a little, you don't need to blow dry then flat iron... let it dry naturally ... and you don't need the highest heat setting...your hair will be straight enough. Condition it often, in fact more often than shampooing (its called a co-wash... blackhairmedia.com)

Omg help my hair is falling out!?

Omg im so sorry !! Go to ur hair dresser!! they should be able to help!!

Omg help my hair is falling out!?

Okay,if you feel that your flat iron is not strong enough, maybe you should get a new one that will work good without putting it to 450 degrees. What type of flat iron do you have anyway?

I use CHI for my hair. But 450 is too high..that's the temperature used for baking food =O...so you can really fry your hair out.

Omg help my hair is falling out!?

First your washing and conditioning your too much. African Americans only suppose to wash their hair every 10-12 days. The reason why shampoos dries out our hair, and we loose the natural oils. Then you are using a heated hair appliance. They also dries out the hair. Then your brushing your hair. brushes stretches the hair causing it to snap off.

Start adding more moistur to your hair. Use Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizing Lotion while using the hair dryer.

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

Hi I'll help you! First it's washed and towel dry-ed right? Then add your straightening product or the gel if it's not a hard holding type. Start blow drying it from the roots to the ends. Then once it's completely dry, take your flat iron and clip the hair out of your way and start working on the most curly/wavy parts in small sections. Usually, that's the (underneath) and then work your way up to the top strands, which work best if saved for last.

OH, If you have another thermal hold spray or straightening spray NOW, would be the time to put it on. Once, you have your way through the worst sections, for a faster job, go through your hair with smaller sections and smooth the rest to blend it together. After your done, don't forget a light holding aerosol hairspray to hold it together or a shine spray. This is the fastest way to straighten hair. I've been a cosmetologist for 12 years. Good Luck... :o)

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

My hair is usually very wavy, and I too have layers in my hair, but I use a straghtner it turns out great. Make sure your straightner isn't cheap and just striaghten it in layers. Get a hair tie and put up half of you hair, strighten the half that is down, let down the other half, and striaghten it. Then just put a little hairspray over the top to make sure it stays down, brush it and BOOM it should be good.

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

ok tie up your top layers and straighten the bottom layer with the straughtener, then as you've done this then begin taken down more of your hair and straighten them and continue until finished but lower the heat of your straightener as you get to the top layers as the heat can leave behind the mark of your straightener !!! hope this helps!! =)

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

Well here is an article i found. It is Japanese Straightening, I heard it really works.

Japanese Hair Straightening

By Danna Schneider

straightening process

invented in Japan that has swept America and made countless women

forever grateful to it's hair-transforming powers. It goes by

several different names - Japanese Straightening, Thermal

Reconditioning, Straight Perm, and Japanese Straight Perm. So,

what exactly can you expect after a thermal reconditioning

service? Well, it's actually nothing short of miraculous, if you

choose the right product and stylist.

I had my treatment done at a Japanese salon in Ohio that

specializes in this service. After about six hours of sitting in

the salon, being alternately shampooed, heated under intense heat

lamps, blown out, flat ironed, and then going through the entire

process again, I emerged from the salon with a completely

retexturized, smooth and sleek head of hair. All together, the

straightening process cost about $750, including a VERY generous

tip and a large bottle of shampoo and conditioner specially

formulated for my new tresses. The hourly rate for the service

was $80, which is actually below most others that charge about

$100 an hour. I was under strict instuctions to guard my hair

from water or any type of moisture for the next 72 hours.

I was completely thrilled with my new hair. The light reflected

off of it like crazy, and it blew naturally in the breeze, not at

all dried out or artificial, like you might expect after a

chemical treatment. It actually was in the best condition ever,

which seemed counterintuitive since it had esentially just been

through six hours of chemical and heat treatment. Nevertheless,

it was absolutely and undeniably true.

I was told I would need to come back for a touch up on the new

growth anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on how

straight I wanted it to stay and the rate of hair growth. It is

now six months later, and even though it has more body, it is

still shiny and smooth. I actually like it a little more with

some body at the roots. It gives it a little extra lift, and the

remaining hair is still straight and manageable.

There are some things you want to look out for when searching for

a salon that offers thermal reconditioning. First, find out which

straightening product they use. The best Japanese Straightening

System is Liscio, and the second is Yuko. Both are made in Japan.

Any others are to be cautiously researched. Liscio has produced

the best results on clients, and if you've read about it

anywhere, there is nothing negative to be reported. This is the

system the salon I went to used, and my results were healthy and

beautiful. Second, make sure the technician performing the

service has plenty of experience in the process. Any good salon

will provide you with before and after pictures of their work.

Third, be sure to be open and honest with the stylist about any

prior haircoloring or processing, so they can adjust the

treatment accordingly for the best results. Don't fall in to the

trap of buying expensive shampoos and conditioners like I did (I

spent about $85 on shampoo and conditioner).

You can actually use several quality, gentle shampoos and

intensive conditioners and get the same, if not better, results (

http://www.cosmeticsgalore.com/best-hair...

).

After Japanese Straightening, you do want to be sure to keep hair

protected from the sun and moisturized, so frequent deep

conditioning and an SPF spray or other UV protective hair product

is highly recommended. You must wait at least one to two months

before coloring your hair after the treatment, depending on your

stylist's recommendations. If you can, go to a stylist who was

actually trained by a top technician at the corporate

headquarters for the system they use. This assures they have been

trained correctly and specifically on how to get the best results

possible.

What this means for you is a lower risk of getting a "botched"

straightening job or damaged hair. Do your research. Get online

and find the salons in your area that offer the service along

with their credentials. After all, you don't want to waste your

hard-earned money on something that is less than a superior

result. The cost of the treatment can be very high, especially if

your hair is particularly long or hard to "de-curl". Typically,

the longer and curlier the hair, the longer the process takes,

and the more you will spend.

Bottom line, if your hair is unruly, frizzy, or overly curly and

you would like to have low maintenance, hassle free hair that is

shiny and straight, the "Japanese Straight Perm" is just the

thing for you. I know I will be going back for a second round!

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

JUST USE THE STRAiiGTNER.... NO GEL NO HAiiR SPARY!

HOW CAN I GET MY HAIR STRAIGHT!!?? need answers fast plz!!!?

Well I guess I'm too late for this for the time being...but in the future you should practice with a sedu flat iron and you;ll be ready for school the next time and not have to panic.

Get the best with the ceramics.

Good luck and I hope you were able to work it out.
