honestly, just invest in a straightening iron. if you don't want that, atleast get a hair dryer and a good brush!! putting chemicals and products in your hair won't work unless you blow dry it.. sorry! but you'll end up saving time and money and heartache if you invest in something that will work everytime!

A hair straightener would be handy.

Also there are straightening products for hair (they also can make hair flatter).

Check a local drugstore. Though I have no products to suggest, you can find one for your hair type, no problem.

do you have afican-american hair?? if you do you should use motions relaxer. its not that expensive and it really works. but if your hair grows fast you should do it every 2 or 3 months.

ok, herbal essences mousse has to be blowdried out, and buy sunsilk antipoof shampoo and conditioner itll take away poofiness and make it soft or buy sunsilk straighten up itll straighten your hair hair out

the best thing to do is buy a flatiron is the answer and some good conditioner......trust me it's worth every penny, and you can get them from $10-$400.......

Straightening irons are rreeallly bad for ur hair. I was goign to ask the same question but noting that I am not using a flat-iron cuz of the damage it causes. Especially if ur hair has been dyed or exposed to other chemicals...

I'd use oils and conditioners for straightening/sleek shining.... usually blow-drying with brush will straighten it nicely, if you use product with it as u blow try u shoudl be able to tame it. but blow drying won't help the poofy look will it. I know how u feel. heheh

Bore bristle brushes help sleek your hair, brush starting with the bottom then to up then stroke all the way down starting at the roots. This draws natural oils from your scalp down the shaft os hair also helping to eliminate frizzies.

But if you look anything like vanessa hudgens you should just use scrunch gel and do a natural looking style. like this http://a.abcnews.com/images/Entertainmen... this is by far her best look

Hi! I also have VERY poofy hair! : ) We are in the same boat here, dearie. Now, the thing about poofy hair is that blow driers will make it even poofier. Do not invest in a straight iron either, because straight irons may make your hair STRAIGHT but it will not de poof it. Trust me I have tried. Now, I use numerous products on my hair, but the ones that I like best are the herbal essences curls and waves GEL. Hon, mousse ADDS volume to your hair. It will make it MORE poofy. I used to use mousse all the time and could never understand why I wasn't getting good results, until my hairstylist told me what it was doing. Gels are LIFE SAVERS. Just get a good strong brand of gel and let it do its magic. How you style your hair may also contribute to the "poofiness". Try doing a half up hair style with gelled down hair, or a simple bun or ponytail.Tight braids are also helpful. Good luck!
