Hair and makeup for 8th grade graduation/dance??

ok so i am graduating 8th grade on wednesday..... i have a dress that is brown and silky. its strapless except for this skinny string that goes around your neck and sort of makes it a halter. the top is scrunched, and then it goes down from the waist to a lil below my knees. the upper scrunched part has a little beaded thing going down the center.

my skin tone is sort of olive-y, and my eyes are brown. my hair is thick and naturally wavy. it goes about 2-3 inches past my shoulders. i have a curling iron, straightener, and blow dryer......... what can i do for my hair and makeup?? pics would help lots!!

For your makeup, you should try some shimmering brown eyeshadow, eyeliner, some mahoghany (almost brown) lipstick and light brown lipliner. Very light blush and some light mascara.

I think doing a Mandy Moore type look would be fabulous for you. Simple make-up. Maybe a little tinted moisturizer to even out your skin, a touch of bronzer, some dark brown eye liner smudged in between your lashes, some taupe eyeshadow on your lid, a light beige eyeshadow under your brow, a nice thick coat of black mascara, and a neutral lipstick or lip gloss, like clinique's black honey.

For hair, take inch thick sections of hair, and twist it around the curling iron, do not put it in the clamp. Litterally twist it around the barrel. Start the twisting up at your root, and then proceed to wrap the hair down to the tips. Hold it for about 10-15 seconds. You will get a natural beachy look.

just have ur hair straight or whateva u like best and for makeup put sum lip gloss and eye shadow , maybe if u need sum cover up , but thats it no more make up cuz u dont wanna look fake or overdone or anything lol ...... srry i dont have any pics

OK girl, Since you have a strapless giddup you need to get that hair up and away from your shoulders and show that skin! So do an up-do. Have a friend help you....then put some flowers in your hair...small delicate ones. One idea is to braid your hair and then put flowers in the braid ending it with a beautiful ribbon! As for makeup, go light on it...orange lipgloss will do nice with the brown dress. Brown eye shadow with a little gold touch to dress it up. Of course mascara and light on the blush. Don't forget the final touch...cologne...behind the ears, at the wrists, and behind the knees so you leave "an air" behind you when you walk!
