How do you straighten your hair faster?

i have curly hair and its really thick and its a few inches past my shoulders (when curly) and i wanna straighten it , and usually it takes me an hour to an hour and a half. i dont have a flat iron (it broke) but i have a big curling iron (by revlon) and a blow dryer (con air) so what should i do? should i wash my hair and then blow dry it or keep it dry and use the curling iron. also i dont really know how to blow dry my hair good, it takes me 2 hrs. and it comes out a little wavy in the front. so what are some tricks to do it faster?

Honestly, if you don't know how to straighten your hair with a blow dryer then it could just come out puffy. You need a really good flat iron. I've went through soo many and seriously the best one is the CHI straightener. It works soo nice. It straightens your hair fast too. I recommend it all the time.

buy a "chi" flate iron it will work very fast and does a great job and it is made of ceramic plates so it is less damaging to your hair. Good luck =)

I had the same problem and all I can say is the CHI flat iron is well worth the $. Expensive, but gets the job done in no time.

buy a chi straightner. its the best. but i think you should wear your hair how it is. just put a little moose in it and blow dry it for a couple of mins. the heat damage from staightners is way worse than blowdryers.

I have really curly hair that i used to straighten ALL THE TIME...it took me 2 hours each time and if it was humid outside, all the time i spent straightening went to waste!

Try "Remington - Wet to Straight" . It is an amazing gaget!! I bought it recently and loved it. It's like a blowdryer and straightener in one. Hard to believe - but I had to try it myself to actually believe it.

It looks like a straightener, but it has vents to steam out the water. It actually causes less damage than blowdrying and straightening separately.

Just do one section at a time and in one stroke - you've acheived drying and straightening. You must read the instructions before using first.

Oh, and you can also use it as a straightener when your hair is dry too!

buy a good straightener! a ceramic one

"chi" or "ghd" work well. trust me, spending the extra money on a GOOD straightener is really worth it. i spent a little more than 200 on mine, it's a miracle-worker.

use some straightening cream. and remember to use a thermal protector for hair when straightening/blowdrying, to prevent damage and breakage

the straightener that i use really works, it is the remington wet to straight straightener and that only takes me about 10-15 minutes at the most. with the remington wet to straight straightner your hair can be wet because all you have to do is put it on a hotter tempurature and it blow dries it as you straighten it. i have a trick that i use to straighten my hair, the first thing i do is i put my hair up at the top of my head in a hair stretchy except maybe a small chunk of hair in the back of my head and straighten that, put that up in a hair stretchy, take some of that down, put the stuff unstraightened back up in a hair stretchy and straighten the stuff that is down, put that up in a stretchy, and so on and so forth. after i get done straightening it i take it out of the stretchies and brush it out. after that is done i put four things in my hair. firt i put anti-frizz gel on my hair, to apply this all you do is sqwert a little in your fingers and run your fingers through your hair. the second thing i apply is the herbal essenses dangerously straight pin straight mousse, the third thing i apply to my hair is the herbal essences dangerously straight iron me straight finishing spray, and the fourth thing i use since all the finishing spray does is make it straighter it won't hold all day so then i put holding spray on it. this normally lasts me til gym in 7th period because then i have to put it up in a pony tail. i hope this helps.
