get a gel that doesn't have alcohol in it...brands don't matter, ingredients do.

Also, blow drying is bad for your hair and may make it more frizzy.

To get it totally straight use one of them flat irons (you can even use an iron for clothes if you don't have money for special hair appliances-- it's what they did in the 70s, just don't burn your head...it helps to have another person iron your hair)

Proclaim Glossing Polish is a hair serum that gets rids of frizzes and flyaways and it is a great, gentle, non greasy hair straighter. Try to use a flat iron with ceramic panels this will straighten your hair better. You can find this product at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Use frizz ease by John Frieda. Trust me it works.

First of all, herbal essence is HORRIBLE for your hair! It contains so much sodium laurate sulphate, which is used to clean grease of off a garage floor. You're stripping your hair of all it's natural oils, which is going to make it even more frizzy. So, switch shampoos. I use organic stuff. Check out organic stores, and ask for sodium laurate sulphate FREE products.

Look into getting a deep conditioning hair mask. I really like the John Frieda one. Pantene Pro'V makes a good one to.

Use a hair serum. Again, John Freida. The thermal one in the orange bottle is the best one I've found.

If you blow dry, make sure you are pointing it in downward.

And of coarse, a really good hair straightner.

Wavy hair is naturally frizzy. Hot, humid tempratures bring out frizz. I have tried most of the anti-frizz products out there, and none have really worked. I have done everything, looked up on the internet and read millions of books on the subject. THE NUMBER ONE BEST THING TO DO FOR FRIZZ: BUY THOSE VITAMIN E CAPSULES AT THE DRUG STORE. Open them up and work the oil from the capsules into palms. Comb you fingers in to your hair. Olive oil works in the same way, but makes your hair look slightly greasy.

Another thing to do is when you step out of the shower, scrunch you hair with curl cream. And don't use any blow driers or straighteners. Curls/wavy hair is very delecate and needs moisture because the natural oils in your hair don't slide down wavy hair very well. For shampoos, stay away from anything with sodiun laurrel sulfate, and sodium lareth sulfate. The dehydrate your hair and do extra damage. I would go into more detial about them, but I don't have the time. lets just say that it is an absolute horror story what it does to your hair! For shampoo and conditioners, I would suggest anything that advertises deep moisturizing.

Hope this helps!

For future reference, this is how I take care of my hair: I put in hot oil treatment in my hair. I then go to wash with shampoo designed for frizzy hair. I then condition with anti-frizz conditioner. Then I deep condition with the help of putting on a plastic cap designed for deep conditioning, and wait 30 minutes. Sometimes I'll go under my hooded dryer; sometimes not. I'll then rinse out the deep conditioner, and then I put my hair up in rollers. You can watch youtube.com if you prefer to wrap your hair. But I found if you don't wrap it right, it will come out more puffy than before. I use my hooded dryer on a low setting. Then, after it's totally dry, either the same day or next, I'll use a ceramic flat iron to straighten it. I forgot to mention before I dry my hair I'll put in anti-frizz serum and leave-in conditioner (I recommend the kind of leave-in you spray).

When I'm not exercising or having a moment where I really want to look my best, I wear a bandanna in my hair to help keep it as straight as possible. But I don't wear it to sleep, as then I will sweat.

If possible, try to use some kind of heat protection product in your hair if you are going to use heat.

You can try the Suave version of Matrix (orange bottles), Tresseme, or Garnier Fructics. Some conditioners, like Paul Mitchell, allows you to use it as both regular AND deep conditioner, but to use as deep conditioner you keep in for longer time. Garnier Frutics deep conditioner is not too expensive.

I hope I been of help!
