I want to get my hair set in a salon. Would they let me wear the curlers home and come back the next day, or would it be better to sit under a dryer there? I thought I recall someone telling me that if you shower before removing the curlers, the steam will help the set stay longer.

It all depends on the salon some will let you and some won't. But to be on the safe side if you really want to do home with the curlers bring your own to the salon with you. I'm sure they won't mind.

Just go there and they'll have you sit under a drier...I don't think they'll let you take them home! :-)

No salon will let you walk out of their shop with curlers in your hair. If you want to get your hair styled in a salon then do it ALL there and enjoy the whole experience. Steam will cause the curlers to fall out and do you propose sleeping in the curlers? I can tell you from previous years experience that is a really bad hair day idea...
What helps the set stay longer is getting it done by a professional and then enjoying it until you have to sleep on it and it goes away. If you want a permanent solution to perfect hair every day...buy a wig.
